Ripples & Ridges Masher
For fish, bees, angel wings and other flying things!
Some time ago we made a prototype Fin Maker for Mike Hanson (a talented glass blower). When word leaked out we had a ton of requests to make a smaller version that all lampworkers could use on smaller projects, such as, but not limited to, fish fins and wings.
This new masher is 7 inch long, weighs 5.4 oz, and has 10 blades that create “ripples and ridges.”

This tool is built on the same well-balanced design that has proven successful in our other tools. There are minimum chill marks on the glass ridges due to the open design of the individual blades. You need minimum pressure to make evenly-spaced indentations. Pictures show just some of the possible beads designs.

We are confident you will find other uses for it! As always, use it on glass that is not in a molten state and keep it out of the direct flame.
